Required Pre-Treatment Products

Installation
Full cut method leaving 2 mm as a base.

All bonding areas have to be clean, dry and grease free.  The glass side has to be pretreated with the one step-primer D-528 or with  the system D-520 glass-activator and D-530 glass/paint primer.


Remove the aluminum tab on the bottom of cartridge.  Cut nozzle to meet urethane dimensions as specified by the respective car manufacturer.  Puncture top and attach pre-cut nozzle.  Insert into gun.

If there is no existing urethane on the pinchweld to use as a substrate for D-500SA, the one-step primer D-528 or the glass/paint primer D-530 should be applied on the pinchweld for best result.  D-500SA can be applied on the glass or on the pinchweld.


Important Notes:
Glass installation is not recommended at temperatures below 5°C(40°F).  This includes air, glass, pinchweld, and urethane temperatures.  If temperatures are less than 5°C(40°F) then glass replacement should be performed in a heated shop or an approved urethane like D-9000 should be used.

You must always apply a Dinitrol blackout primer system to the bonding surface of the glass when using D-500SA urethane. See detailed instructions on our website under installation instructions.
